My son is obsessed with garbage trucks. He saw a Mercedes one on Youtube and pestered me for days about finding a toy one. I caved like any good mom. I am from the Tonka old school (if it isn't die cast metal it won't survive a 3 yr old boy) but it is a durable and solid construction. He has played with it every day for the last couple of months. The blade inside the hopper moves as does the blade where the trash goes in. It dumps and the cab lifts to reveal the engine. I may have to get the toter & dumpster accessories for a stocking stuffer at Xmas.

For someone who loves the real thing, This is as good as it gets. I love trash trucks and I love this toy! A must buy for Adults and Children alike.
Boys's toy WINNER January 2, 2010

I bought two of these Bruder garbage trucks for my 3 year old grandsons and this has been their favourite toy this Christmas - they work like real trucks and they are extremely well constructed even for little 3 year olds who are not terribly mechanically inclined at their age. Even their older cousins enjoy playing with these. Highly recommended.

This Bruder truck was a must have by my nephew for Xmas. He opened the truck which is larger than expected and was thrilled. It is very realistic and for all those kids who love garbage trucks, this one is a must have. I had read the reviews for some of the Bruder trucks and was a bit skeptical but not anymore. It's made of hard plastic, very durable, and comes with the 3 garbage cans that you see in the ad. I'd recommend this product.

Our 4 year old son was very excited when he first opened the truck and began to play with it. Within a couple of hours the struts that hold the back open were already broken as was a plastic piece that goes around the gas tank. The mechanisms that move the trash lasted a couple of weeks until they seized completely.
It is a nice looking truck and I like all the things it does - but I wish it was built to last. Save your money and buy something else - unless you like broken toys.
