Still a Favorite Toy - after a year September 25, 2008 H. Fredrickson (Da U.P) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
My son received this Bruder tow truck with Jeep when he turned three. After nearly a year he plays with it every day. He puts the Jeep through different scenarios - it can be dragged by front wheels, lifted by crane, lifted by wheel clamp/chain mechanisms. The flat bed tilts up, the cab tilts forward to expose the engine. It is surprisingly realistic. The plastic is light weight but nothing has broken. The best part (for me) is that it makes no sound effects. It is kept indoors.
Whoohoo, I won!!! July 4, 2009 Dr S. Anna Crandall (HYANNIS, MA USA) Every year the toy that the boy plays with first after opening all the others wins the "best toy of the year" contest. This was my first time winning! This has a lot of working parts on it and they are very easy to install and play with. Braden is 5 years old. But even his little brother Kolton (2 years old) was able to work the crane and put the jeep on and off. Everything on this is very sturdy even though many of the parts are quite small and flexible in their movements.
Grandson's loved it! December 4, 2009 Ann Binns (Eugene Oregon USA) I bought this for my Grandson's 3rd birthday and he loved it.He played with it for ages and so did his 4 yr old brother. It seems to be very sturdy and easy to work. All in all it is a fun toy and worth the money.
Best Christmas present January 22, 2010 Karin Zimmer (Arkansas) My 2 year old son got this truck for Christmas from his grandparents. From all the toys he got, this is the winner. He plays with it all the time and nothing has broken. He is very careful with his trucks though. He also owns the garbage truck, fire truck and Unimog and loves them all. This toys are so realistic and durable, he loves to play with all the moving parts. His cousin (3 years) is not into cars and trucks and could care less for it, but if your son is into cars and trucks this is an amazing toy. I have to say that I did not give him the small parts (chain and anchors) because we have a 12 month old baby that puts everything in his mouth. He does not seem to care because you can put the jeep on the bed of the truck or drag it from behind without needing the extra parts. He also likes to put other cars on the bed of the truck and drag them all, big and small! This toy has given me some amazing quiet time! No sirens, hunks and noises. Just perfect.
9 and 7 year old boys give it a 5 star February 23, 2010 Nancy I was looking at reviews last week for tow trucks since my seven year-old had seen this one at the toy store and really wanted it. After looking at reviews I felt this tow truck would be great. The boys are older and treat their toys well, so even though there were parts that could be broken, I felt that it was worth purchasing. It arrived recently and the boys have been loving it! I know the truck is new and we haven't had the opportunity to make sure all the parts are going to continue to work over the long haul. However, they are having a blast with it! They love the different working parts and it's definitely a 5 star for fun and play. My oldest has kept begging me to make sure I review this toy and give it a "5 star" - and my youngest agrees!
